Ms. Vandegrift was recently hired with our firm in 2017. She provides litigation support in case management.
Ms. Vandegrift brings over a decade of criminal justice experience to our firm. She was a former Philadelphia Police Officer and patrolled many parts of our city including Center City and North Philadelphia. In 2009, she was given the Advisory council award of Center City for making 13 arrests in less than a month. In 2011, she was promoted to Police Detective after ranking the highest score for female detective. She worked in both South Division (South Philadelphia) and Southwest Division (South & West Philadelphia) before leaving in 2017 to join Console Mattiacci Law.
Ms. Vandegrift has a vast criminal justice background with a plethora of training and experience. While a Police Detective, she investigated, supported and processed arrests for major felony investigations into armed robberies, kidnappings, homicides, aggravated assaults (shootings/stabbings) rapes, domestic violence incidents, VUFA (Violation Uniform Firearms Act) and bank robberies. Over the course of her career she handled thousands of cases involving theft, fraud, narcotics, domestic violence, arson, missing persons, and juvenile crime among others. Ms. Vandegrift experience includes interviews of witnesses, interrogation of suspects, thoroughly written reports, documentation, evidence collection/preservation, crime scene processing, photos, videos, fingerprinting, surveillance, collaboration with agencies such as the FBI, Secret Service, the District Attorney’s Office, obtained several arrest and search warrants. Ms. Vandegrift has confiscated hundreds of firearms within the city including assisting SWAT. She has a strong compassion for saving others that aren’t able to help themselves and excels in community relations.
Ms. Vandegrift received a paralegal diploma from Penn Foster College in 2017. She is currently studying for her Labor and Employment relations Degree at Penn State.
She is a member of the National Federation of Paralegal organization (NFPA), National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), Philadelphia Association of Paralegals (PAP), holds a membership with the ABA, and is member of the FOP.
